Despite starting the season unranked, the DePaul basketball team would go on a tear to win 22 of 27 games going into the NCAA tournament. Led by a star freshman from Chicago named Mark Aguirre, the Blue Demons would knock off USC, Marquette, and UCLA to make it to their first NCAA Final Four since 1943.
